Statement of Faith

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended to the dead.
On the third day He rose again;
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

Amen.

In this confession, “the holy catholic Church” refers to the universal body of believers in Jesus Christ across all times and places.

OUR GOSPEL

This is the good news that saves. What follows is how we live it out together.

Grace through Faith
We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone, not by works, but as a gift of God
(Ephesians 2:8–9)

Christ Alone
We believe Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man, and the only way of salvation
(1 Timothy 2:5; John 14:6)

Scripture as Authority
We affirm Scripture as God-breathed, trustworthy, and the final authority for doctrine and life
(2 Timothy 3:16–17)

For the Glory of God
We believe all things exist from Him, through Him, and for Him—to His glory alone
(Romans 11:36)

Response of Faith
We believe that saving faith is expressed through believing in the heart and confessing with the mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord
(Romans 10:9–10)

Our Confession

We believe the Church is the Ekklesia — the living Body and Family of Christ — called by God, formed in love, and sent to reflect His Kingdom in every sphere of life

(Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 1:22–23; 1 Peter 2:5).

Our Foundation

We affirm the authority of Scripture as God-breathed and trustworthy, and we confess Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior, and King

(2 Timothy 3:16–17; Colossians 1:15–20; Philippians 2:9–11).

We believe in one Body with many members, each uniquely gifted by God for the building up of the whole

(1 Corinthians 12:12–31; Romans 12:4–6).

Our Understanding of the Church

We believe Christ gives leaders to equip the saints for works of ministry, so that the Body may grow into maturity, unity, and love

(Ephesians 4:11–13).

The Church is not an institution to be consumed, but a people formed and sent into the world

(John 20:21; Matthew 28:18–20).

Our View of Worship

We believe worship is both vertical devotion to God and horizontal formation of the Church

(John 4:23–24; Colossians 3:16).

Song is a God-given means through which truth is remembered, faith is shaped, hearts are discipled, and grace is revealed

(Deuteronomy 31:19–22; Psalm 95; Ephesians 5:18–20).

Psalm 150

Our Measure of Fruit

We believe spiritual maturity is revealed not by platform, numbers, or performance, but by the fruit of the Spirit

(Galatians 5:22–23; Matthew 7:16–20).

Faith that does not express itself through lived obedience is incomplete

(James 2:17, 26).

Our Posture Toward the Broken

We believe restoration is carried out with humility, gentleness, and love

(Galatians 6:1; 2 Corinthians 2:7–8).

The gospel invites repentance without shame and offers rest for the weary through the kindness of Christ

(Matthew 11:28–30; Romans 2:4).

Our Hope

That through worship and faithful obedience, Christ’s Bride would mature in love, walk in truth, bear lasting fruit, and reflect the gentleness of Jesus to a watching world

(Ephesians 5:25–27; Revelation 19:7–8; Colossians 1:28).

All for His glory.

Grateful to walk this out together.
